ResourceHub Quick Start Guide

Get started in just 3 easy steps.

Step 1 - Setup Your Folders

Create folders for your resources (i.e. manuals, specs, catalogs, videos)

What to do:

  1. Go to the Folders menu in the ResourceHub admin.

  2. Click New Resource Folder

  3. Fill out the form:

    • Name → The label customers see (i.e. User Manuals, Data Sheets).

    • Handle → Auto-generated from the folder name (e.g., "user-manuals"). Creates the URL for this folder. Leave as is unless you need a custom URL.

    • Display Order → (Optional) Controls tab order in the ResourceHub Library. Lower numbers appear first

  4. Click Save to create your folder

  5. After the page reloads, click the preview button to view your folder in your Resource Library.

💡 Folders Become Tabs in Your Resource Library:

When you create a folder, it automatically appears as a tab in your ResourceHub Library at yourstore.com/apps/resources. Each tab generates its own page where customers can search and filter using tags.

Step 2 - Add Your First Resource

Now that you’ve created a folder, add your first resource.

What to do:

  1. Go to the Resources menu in the ResourceHub admin.

  2. Click Add Resource

  3. Fill out the form:

    • Title → A clear name customers will recognize (e.g., ABC Pump User Manual).

    • Folder → Select the folder  where this resource belongs. Folders appear as tabs in your ResourceHub Library.

    • Document Number (optional) → Use if you have doc numbers.

    • Short Description (Overview) → A brief summary of the resource.

    • Use External Link → Check this if you want to link to an external source (such as a file hosted elsewhere or a YouTube video)

    • Resource File → Drag and drop your PDF (max 100MB) or click Add File to upload.

    • Featured (optional) → Highlight this resource at the top of the list in the ResourceHub Library.

    • Page Content (optional) → Add custom content and optimize for SEO. See "Customize Your Resource Page" below for details.

    • Status → Set to Active (Draft keeps it hidden).

    • Tags → Add labels that describe the details of this resource. Tags show up as filters inside each tab in your Library. Example: In a “User Manuals” folder, tags might be “Installation Guide” or “Troubleshooting.”

    • Related Products → Select one or more products this resource applies to.

  4. Click Save to create your resource.

  5. After the page reloads, click the Preview button to view your resource in your Library.

Customize Your Resource Page (Optional)

Each resource gets its own dedicated page in your Library with engagement tracking (views/downloads). Customize these pages to improve SEO and add context for customers.

  • Full Page Content → Add body content using the editor. Include text, images, or links to provide context.

  • Meta Title → Set a title for search engines and social sharing.

  • Meta Description → Write a description for SEO and social sharing.

  • URL handle → Auto-generated from the title. Change only if needed (use lowercase and hyphens).
